Miles grew up in Southern California and became interested in growing food while working on developing a school garden in college. After several years of teaching in alternative settings, Miles took an internship on a local dairy farm in the Methow, and the rest is history.
During summer months, you'll find him covered in dirt, weeding, harvesting, running food deliveries, cursing irrigation pipe, and being followed around by the turkeys. In the winter, you might find him serving up our produce at our favorite wood-fired Italian restaurant, scanning seed catalogs, or dreaming of the day he gets to ditch the machinery for a pair of draft horses.
Miles is also an active board member for the state chapter of National Young Farmer's Coalition, where he is passionate about advocating for the challenges faced by rural communities and just food systems.
